Recently, my wife, daughter and I, went to a Sleepy’s store located in Selden NY. We arrived late and had the good fortune of meeting Pat G. who was managing the store that night. Being fickle we had to try practically every bed in the showroom. Pat, true to her title of "Mattress Professional", kept the store open for us way past the closing hour of 9 pm. We made our purchase and it was delivered as Pat promised, the very next day! In this day and age it’s really important to see a company like Sleepy’s employ truly great, honest and rich with knowledge professionals.

My wife recently purchased a king size mattress from Sleepy’s and said it was so refreshing to deal with a company where the customer’s satisfaction is obviously the main goal. Your staff was very knowledgeable and patient in helping her pick out the perfect mattress. The men who delivered the mattress were very courteous and set up the new mattress. After her first night sleeping on it she was convinced that she made a great decision, choosing a soft pillow top. I, on the other hand, had been used to sleeping on a mattress that was as hard as the floor. I was trying to adjust to sleeping on the new mattress but had a hard time not withstanding her bliss. About a month later my wife spoke to one of your staff who suggested we change mattresses under the Sleepy’s exchange policy for a hard pillow top which should satisfy both of us. The exchange was done the next day and, hence, I write you this letter of thanks in making my wife and me two happy camper/sleepers. You guys are the best from price, delivery and complete customer satisfaction. Thanks again.

In the real world of illusory guarantees and related business scams, I write to applaud the professionalism and courtesy demonstrated by Ed, an exemplary salesperson under your employ. Case in point: I placed an order with Ed and only subsequent thereto did I perform my due diligence in terms of comparison shopping. Perhaps unbelievably I managed to secure a lower price on certain items with a competitor, and thereto I returned to discuss with Ed the possibility of a reduction on my already placed order. While Ed educated me in a most polite manner as to the difference in what the competitor was offering in terms of value, he nevertheless stood up for your company and its well publicized guarantee that Sleepy’s will beat any price. It is refreshing to work with a professional, who truly understands the value of reputation and good business practice. Ed is a man of principle and integrity.

My old mattress gave me back pain and my sales person really knew exactly what I needed. He couldn’t have been nicer. He truly was a mattress professional. This note is to share with you my shopping experience I recently had in your East Norriton, Pennsylvania showroom. I personally believe shopping should be a fun event (if spending could be recognized as "fun" and I very much enjoyed your beautifully appointed showroom. The mattress professional Mort was great! He was busy at the time but handled us with ease and courtesy. I particularly appreciated his knowledge of the product and his no pressure attitude.

I am writing to comment on the service I received when buying a new mattress and boxspring at your Route #17 Hasbrook Heights location in New Jersey. We entered the store with less than an hour before closing. We are not mattress experts and did need a sufficient amount of help. The Sleepy’s associate was a great help. He was assertive and knowledgeable. We even chose to finance part of the cost which you know take longer than swiping a credit card. He did not express one slight sign of being annoyed with all of our questions nor did he rush us out in order to leave on time.

I am writing this letter to tell you of the excellent service I received from the above captioned salesman when I purchased my mattress. Since it had been many years since I slept on a bed (I had been sleeping on a sofa) it was difficult to find a mattress set for me. Not only was he informative but also very patient when answering my questions regarding different mattresses. I tried one set and slept on it for 30 days and felt it was too soft. I called Matthew to arrange for an exchange to a slightly firmer one (also Kingsdown but a Plush) thinking that’s what I needed. When I slept on the firmer one it gave me low back pain. I thought I would have to keep this mattress set forever and did not know what to do.
I figured if I call Matthew and tell him this one is hurting my back he would think I was crazy. I waited, until my daughter suggested I call and see if Matthew could possibly help me. When I finally called and spoke to him and explained that this mattress was too firm and I wanted the other one back, he went ahead and made arrangements to see what he could do (no questions asked). If anyone I know wants a recommendation where to purchase a new mattress set, I will gladly tell them of the excellent service I received from this salesman.

People usually write letters because they are dissatisfied with a product or service. However, our letter is quite the contrary. We were so very pleased with the service that Richard gave to us recently, that we felt it warranted a letter of commendation from us. We stopped into the Sleepy’s store located in Commack and purchased a mattress. From the onset, Richard was courteous, patient and informative as to which mattress we might be interested in. Unfortunately, we had to exchange the mattress for other mattresses, not once, but three times. Keep in mind that we are professional people and do not make a habit of exchanging items we purchase. This seemed to be an unusual situation. On behalf of Richard, we must offer to you our highest praise for his patience, kindness, consideration and, above all, the professional manner in which he handled each exchange. Never once did he seem annoyed or upset. As a matter of fact, he was very concerned with our choosing the correct mattress that suited our needs. As a result of Richard’s experience and suggestions, we finally found the appropriate mattress for us. We went to Sleepy’s in the first place because of its reputation. However, we were very fortunate to have encountered the superior service that Richard afforded to us. We have recommended that not only should they visit a Sleepy’s store, but if possible, they should visit the Commack store and have the benefit of Richard’s expertise.

Nearly two weeks ago, we walked into your Exton Sleepy’s store to buy our first mattress set in 17 years! Two hours later, we walked out knowing more about mattresses than we ever thought we would, and anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new bed the next day! Chelle was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and patient as we completed the computer survey and tested numerous mattresses. Everyone we have told about our experience has been impressed with the process Chelle walked us through to find the right mattress for the two of us. The next day when the gentlemen arrived promptly to deliver our set, they were courteous and thorough. They made sure everything was what I expected and asked if they had any questions before they asked for my signature. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us.

Recently we bought a bed at Sleepy’s located in Hicksville, NY. Ted was the salesperson who assisted me in the purchase of my bed. I am writing this letter to express how happy I am with the bed and to let you know that Ted made me feel very comfortable in purchasing the bed. I wanted to write to tell you the pleasure it was for me to buy a bed from your Sayville store with the help of your salesperson Tom. He was helpful, honest, patient, listened to us, and helped us select a bed that seems, up to this point, perfect for us! It is not easy for us because it’s only been about five years since we purchased a Sleepy’s bed. Since our preferences had changed I was afraid of over-investing. Tom was personable and remembered us the few times we came and left during this few week’s process. He sold us the bed because we trusted him and felt he had our best interest at heart, not his own. I am so happy with my new bed which was delivered in an efficient and timely manner by very nice people. Laurie Slutzkin, my salesperson, is great at networking and months ago she let me know she would be the best go-to person when it came time for us to buy a bed. I remembered her and called her New Milford, CT showroom. Laurie's customer service skills are excellent. She is personable, well-informed, and she kept me at my preferred price point. I would highly recommend Laurie and Sleepy's to my friends.

Yesterday I purchased a Comforpedic mattress and frame at your Farmingdale store and want to compliment the wonderful customer service I received from the salesman who helped me. Unfortunately I did not get his last name but his first name is Dave and he was so nice. He explained everything and after finding out that my husband is handicapped was so compassionate and went out of his way to get us the best price. He spent so much time with me that I just felt I had to let you know. Everyone is so quick to complain. I have told my friends and already one of them has said she will be purchasing a mattress soon and will be seeing him. Please note this in his file or wherever because this man is special. Thank you.
